This splendid Mala is carefully handmade in Tibet with 108 genuine "Enlighted" ivory-white Bodhi seeds and enamelled charms.
The beads diameter is about 10mm and the total length of the Mala is approximately 35 inches (90cm). It can be worn as a necklace, a wrap bracelet or used for meditation and prayer.

It is a great gift for him and for her!

Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name of a deity. This Sādhanā (spiritual exercise) is known in Sanskrit as "Japa" . Malas are typically made of 18, 27, 54 or 108 beads.

The Bodhi Tree ("tree of awakening") is a large and ancient sacred fig tree located in Bodh Gaya, India. Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher who became known as the Buddha, is said to have attained enlightenment (or "Bodhi") circa 500 BCE under it.

In sanskrit, "Bodhi" translates to “enlightened” or "awakenened," meaning that the bodhi seed means “enlightened seed.” Bodhi is also a term in Buddhism to reflect a Buddha’s understanding of the true nature of things. Buddhist monks and practitioners  traditionally wear Bodhi seed Malas while meditating with the goal of reaching the ultimate enlightenment.

Bodhi seed Malas have a special significance and a long history of bringing a deep sense of peace, harmony and wisdom to all those who pursue enlightenment.
